Abstract

FARKAS, Chamarrita; HERNANDEZ, Bertha Elena  and  SANTELICES, María Pía. Analysis of moments of change in the therapeutic process conducted in a psycho-educational workshop modality with first pregnancy women. Univ. Psychol. [online]. 2009, vol.9, n.2, pp. 409-422. ISSN 1657-9267.

At present the change in psychotherapeutic interventions has been investigated through the use of generic change indicators. The objective of the present study has been to identify moments of change in a group intervention of a psycho educational nature. The methodology implemented was of a qualitative-confirmatory design and the sample considered a workshop of 6 meetings composed of eight first pregnancy women. The results show that it is possible to identify moments of change in this type of intervention. The indicators are distributed differently amongst the participants, exhibiting a larger intra-session frequency and this does not follow the established theory. Finally these results are compared with psycho therapeutic interventions and its implications are discussed.
