Guidance as a profession in Venezuela, begins in the forties of the XX century and it has passed at different times, characterized the State policy. In the first decade of the XXI century, before the changes educational they are experiencing is necessary their presence with full right in educational policies, to respond to some of this time phenomena. There, the purpose of this essay is to present the current state of the guidance in Venezuela, within the framework of the Bolivarian Education Model in construction and permanent review.
