Abstract

VILLANUEVA, Rita Angulo  and  HERNANDEZ, Berenice Carreño. Competencias Profesionales que los Empleadores Requieren. Rev. Mex. Orient. Educ. [online]. 2011, vol.8, n.21, pp. 45-50. ISSN 1665-7527.

This paper shows the progress of an investigation done at the Academic Unit of Earth Sciences (UACT) belonging to the Autonomous University of Guerrero. The theme refers to the skills that employers demand currently recruiting newly graduated geologists. We found that neither the training of geologists in universities or work experience are enough to get a first job. Today, the skills demanded by professional field are complex and therefore different requirements exist in relation to professional skills.

Keywords : segmented markets; competitiveness; flexibility in employment; professional profile.
