Abstract

RUBIA, José Moral de la  and  SANCHEZ, María Elena Pacheco. Revisión de la Escala de Conducta Disocial de 27 Reactivos. Rev. Mex. Orient. Educ. [online]. 2012, vol.9, n.22, pp. 52-59. ISSN 1665-7527.

The aims of this study were to revise the 27 items Dissocial Behavior Scale (ECODI27; Pacheco & Moral, 2010), increasing the number of the drop-out factor indicators, and to observe the social desirability effect (BIDR-6; Paulhus, 1991) on the scale. An incidental sample of 389 Mexicali high school students (56% women and 44% men) was collected. There were four items with a bad fit to the structure of six factors, which defined a new factor of low consistency and difficult interpretation; therefore these were substituted by 4 new items designed for the drop-out factor. So the scale conserved 27 items and their correlated 6-factors original structure with a good fit to the data. The correlation was significant with social desirability. We suggest carrying on the study of this scale.

Keywords : dissocial behavior; social desirability; adolescent; gender.
