In this work presented the analysis of discourse of orientation in Mexico during the early years of the twentieth centuryby means of documents published between 1906 and 1909 in academic events scheduled in the National Preparatory School to the community of students in Profesiographic conferences and qualities that should cover to be eligible for admission to a professional career. It is intended hold a debate on the possibility of speaking a genealogy of the profession of orientation in Mexico.
