Abstract

MEDINA, Elaine Cristina  and  ANDRADE, Márcia Siqueira de. Psychopedagogic approach in the physical therapeutic management of a child with non progressive chronical encephalopathy. Cad. psicopedag. [online]. 2004, vol.3, n.6, pp. 54-69. ISSN 1676-1049.

Physical therapeutic management of a child with non progressive chronical encephalopathy and the contribuition of the psychopedagogy in the treatment are reported. The original point of this research was constituted by the application of traditional techniques, but in an epistemological perspective considering the motor act not only a result of an authomatic reflex, as an anonimus act, but rather a meaningfull gesture producing subjectivity. This study intends to demonstrate the importance of the relation therapist/child/knowledge, or in a conceptual terminology of the theorethical framework of the Psychopedagogy: teaching being/learning being/object of the knowledge, relation that is built by all involved people, and that is only possible when a confidence setting is established, that is, when the transitional setting does exist, since whithout it no human learning is probable.

Keywords : Psychopedagogy; Physical therapy; Non progressive chronical encephalopathy; Children.
