Abstract

PITOMBO, Elisa Maria Dias de Toledo. Psychopedagogy as a partner for the family and school's learning time. Cad. psicopedag. [online]. 2009, vol.7, n.13, pp. 61-69. ISSN 1676-1049.

This article contemplates Psychopedagogy and the time allotted for learning in institutions such as the school and the family. It introduces Psychopedagogy, based on Fernandez´s ideas, as an area that can review the time needed for learning. The author approaches the subject based on her experience in clinical psychopedagogy, with schools and families. As there are, nowadays, high social and cultural expectations towards learning, there are few places where time is given for the individual to learn. The psychopedagogical clinic provides space and time for the other and, therefore, permits individuals to take ownership of the particularities of their learning process.

Keywords : psychopedagogy; time; family; school; learning.
