Abstract

GUATIMOSIN, Bárbara. The mundane morality and the principles of the ethics of desire. Stylus (Rio J.) [online]. 2013, n.26, pp. 51-58. ISSN 1676-157X.

From a Lacan's quote in which the Kantian morality via universal laws and rules is questioned, and from Kafka's short story Before the Law, where an arbitrary law falls upon a single individual, the purpose of the work is to make clear the difference in which the ethics of psychoanalysis founds itself, and as it counts on the function of the desire, it questions the Other's place and consistency, left intact in both precedent cases.

Keywords : Morality; Law/father; Ethics; Desire; Other.
