the present work discusses the articulations between love and desire and, departing from the principle that, at the level of jouissance there is no pairing, it points out the partner of the desire and the love partnership while it presents love in three versions: love as passion, ignorant of desire, which lies about the true partner, love of transference, condition and obstacle to the analysis, and the more dignified love, which does not believe in the partner, but acknowledges the other as solitary uniqueness.
