Abstract

In this essay shall examine whether the ruptures and disagreements inside tradition of Lacanian psychoanalysis, focusing on its cultural inscription and its reception in the Brazil. Considering psychoanalysis as a clinical practice, social discourse and transmission device, the hypothesis of this study is that the conflicts and divisions among psychoanalysts can remit to differents phallic grammars, present in the Brazilian culture, particularly after the 1970. It is intended contribute to understanding of the great penetration of the perspective of lacanian psychoanalysis in the Brazil, as well as subsidize the more general understanding of reception practices, theories and discourses in the post-military dictatorship period. Finally in the light of the phallics deadlocks of the brazilianness shown throughout the text, will be discussed an episode that occurred in an institution of psychoanalysts.
