CALADO, Paula Rodrigues. Delirium in psychosis: the relation with the Big Other in paranoia and schizophrenia. Stylus (Rio J.) [online]. 2016, n.32, pp. 99-107. ISSN 1676-157X.

In light of the complexity of the psychotic phenomena and the importance of identifying psychosis in the clinical experience by the analyst, the objective of this article is to approach the cases of psychosis of paranoia and schizophrenia through a Lacanian perspective, and differentiate them from those in the field of the neurotic types. The article has also explored the relation of psychotic with language and the position of the subject in relation to the Big Other. The difference between the psychotic and the neurotic subjects is its relation to the significant. Based on Jacques Lacan's work, we know that in psychosis there is no psychological repression, that is, it does not concern an enigmatic unconsciousness which requires the analyst to decipher the discourse. Regarding psychosis, the unconscious is present in a singular manner: unveiled. Questions about the clinic of psychosis were raised in relation to transference, symbolization, and the place of the analyst towards the person who are delirious.
