This text deals with the issue of the direction of the treatment and the conclusion of the analysis. Considering Jacques Lacan's formulations in his last seminars, in particular, his proposition of the analyst-sinthome, the paper aims to differentiate the scope of his proposal and the consequences in clinical treatments and the school. the psychoanalytic clinic is founded on the word, its materiality (moterialité), in order to overcome the meaning of neurotic fiction and raise, for what operates from the analyst, questions about the nomination and the function of the sinthome.
