Abstract

STRAUSS, Marc. The suffering of the contemporary individual. Stylus (Rio J.) [online]. 2016, n.33, pp. 111-118. ISSN 1676-157X.

Lacan brought novelty and originality to the contemporary discourse that orients human bonds. If traditional bonds, not without difficulty, organized the relations between sexes and conditioned hatred, this discourse turns each individual into someone who can count only on his/her own body to stand. The suffering which follows then assumes forms never taken before, as much as the answers that once inside it find the subject to endure it. Psychoanalysis is then demanded in a way different from Freud's times.

Keywords : Bond; Science; Partner; Symptom.
