Abstract

In front of the wall. Stylus (Rio J.) [online]. 2016, n.33, pp. 165-175. ISSN 1676-157X.

Throughout his work, Freud rises innumerous questions about what would define a man and a woman, which leads Lacan to resume the poem by Antoine Tudal: between a man and a woman there is a wall. Each one will place oneself in the sharing of the sexes through the function of speech, in the language theld, and the logic of discourse. The offers are varied and there are several ways of loving. The theme of sexual bipartition also leads to homosexuality and reaches its maximum with the phenomenon of transsexuality. Once sexual bipartition is aErmed - the bipolarization of sexual division - once one recognizes him/herself in a pole where he/she does not particularly identify with, turning then to science seeking a surgical change, the transsexual confirms that there is only a demand when this comes from an offer. We aim to raise some questions in the vast field that gets unveiled when we start from the fact that the two universals, man and woman, imply the impossibility of the sexual relationship, that is, when we ask ourselves about the various forms a subject inserts him/herself in sexuation.

Keywords : Sexuation; Psychoanalysis; Homosexuality; Transsexuals.
