Abstract

PESTANA, Graziele de Jesus  and  LIMA, Ângela Maria de Sousa. BNCC of secundary education in the context of law no. 13.415 / 2017: challenges and perspectives for youth of the public schools. Semin., Ciênc. Soc. Hum. [online]. 2019, vol.40, n.2, pp. 147-166. ISSN 1679-0383.

The Secondary Education Reform (Law nº 13.415/17), implemented through an authoritative way, generated revolts and protests, especially among education specialists, accentuating tension between government and civil society sectors. Among the proposed modifications, the one that generated the most insecurity was the obligation of Portuguese Language and Mathematics as only disciplines valued in the school curriculum, while the directions of the others were in charge of the National Curricular Common Base. Thus, the intention of this article was to carry out a bibliographic survey about the academic production focused on the theme, highlighting the main criticisms of the education specialists, as well as the major challenges to be faced and the perspectives for the future of the public school. The work was organized through the documentary analysis, the systematization of reports of professionals linked to High School and graduation and researches in the specialized literature. Both academic literature and expert opinion converge in the same direction, that is, that the Secondary Education Reform will deepen the inequalities in Basic Education and promote the deregulation of the teaching profession, favoring private companies, above all, distance education.
