The interest in developing this study appeared through my experience of period of trainee in health psychology in the Clinic of Hematology of the Clinics Hospital of Sao Paulo, where I could have the possibility to follow the process of internment of the patients of this unit and the accompaniment of each caregiver. This study was considered with the main objective to understand the occured alterations in the life of the caregivers of patients interned with diagnosis of hematological disease, besides looking for to understand the vision that these caregivers have of the process of internment of their familiar ones. The theoretical referential used to lead this study was the psychoanalyses, therefore it searches the meaning internal that one determined phenomenon cause in each individual. The used method was the qualitative one, being carried through an interview with the familiar caregivers, with application of a questionnaire and a drawing-history with subject. In the qualitative analysis of the gotten data, the answers had been combined with the literature raised on the subject to allow a bigger understanding of the alterations faced for the caregivers, in the studied situation.
