Pennebaker and collaborators’ studies (1997) propose and corroborate writing relevance in improving subject’s psychological well-being after a traumatic event. Taking into account those studies, other approach contributions and professional experience using short-story related as a therapeutic tool, a new proposal is added: efficacy in recuperating psychological well-being is not only associated with writing but also in writing happy end short stories. In this sense, writing happy end short stories is propose as a palliative in coping with traumatic events. An empirical study was carried out in order to analyze the therapeutic quality of writing happy end short stories. The proposal of this study was to compare, through an experimental design, the effects in psychological well-being and positive affectivity of: not writing, writing and writing happy end short-stories.
