Abstract

TARDIVO, Leila Salomão de la Plata Cury; PINTO JUNIOR, Antonio Augusto  and  DOS SANTOS, Márcia Regina. Psychological evaluation of children victims of domestic violence by düss test. Psic [online]. 2005, vol.6, n.1, pp. 59-66. ISSN 1676-7314.

In the last years, the domestic violence against child and adolescent has been a subject of interest and concern of the researchers of the infantile development, mainly as for the psychological consequences and sequels. In the process of identification and agreement of the phenomenon, the psychodiagnostic, whit all its techniques, is essential to evaluate the impact, the risk degree, as well as the psychic functioning of the victim and the incest family. Amongst the instruments used in a diagnostic process, the projective techniques are distinguished. The objective of this work is to discuss the use of the Düss Test as a projective and diagnostic instrument of children victims of domestic sexual violence, in the study of the psycodynamic aspects. The Düss Test was applied to 13 children (8 boys and 5 girls), among 4 and 11 years, victims of physical and/or sexual domestic violence. From the data in this pilot study, we can verify that the Düss Test is an efficient technique for the diagnostic of the patient’s psychic functioning, with emphasis in the cases of children who suffer some kind of domestic violence.
