Abstract

This study aimed at arising the most common symptoms of anxiety in teenagers. 511 male and female students, with age ranging from 14 and 18 years, enrolled in three public and private schools and technical course placed in the city of São José dos Campos were involved as research subjects. Data were collected through a pilot instrument whose items were based on anxiety symptoms defined by CID 10 and DSM IV translated into ansiogenic situations in which the adolescent marked the frequency of its occurrence in a three-point Likert scale, signing always, sometimes or never.
