MARTINS, José Clerton de Oliveira  and  PINHEIRO, Adriana de Alencar Gomes. Psychic suffering in working relations. Psic [online]. 2006, vol.7, n.1, pp. 79-85. ISSN 1676-7314.

The present research investigates the aspects which bring psychic sufferings to the work relations, trying to detect from where they come and which are their symptoms. The A qualitative approach was used and to obtain ten data were used instruments as live observation, a field diary and interviews. It was concluded that psychic suffering is evident in working relations of the company studied, characterized by managers´ lack f ability when facing adverse situations. However, that kind of suffering becomes lighter in function of benefits the organization offers for its workers. Moreover, the work is not associated to pleasure, but to a necessity of surviving, almost always understood as a form of painful obligation. For the organization, on the other hand, the work symbolizes a person's existence, because the worker spends the most part of his time working there.
