Abstract

This study focused the scientific production on the writing. It searched to identify the way the researchers of the area have been evaluating this important psychological construct in the school context, between 1996 and 2005, in scientific newspapers of psychology classified as A National. The main results appeared that the publications on writing are concentrate in the years from 2003 to 2005; located institutions in the southeast of the country accomplish the productions in the area predominantly and most the most part of the articles are research report, with co relational delineation, quantitative treatment and inferential statistics. The children were the most appraised participants, being dictation the instrument more used. Only 28,1% of the used instruments present validity evidences. Before those results, it is expected that more researches be accomplished to reveal the state of the art of this construct that is so important in a time when results of the evaluation of the learning are so unhopeful.
