Abstract

WELTER, Giselle Mueller-Roger  and  CAPITAO, Cláudio Garcia. HumanGuide: validity evidence of the brazilian version. Psic [online]. 2007, vol.8, n.2, pp. 139-150. ISSN 1676-7314.

This article presents the results of the validity evidence study of the Portuguese version of the test HumanGuide, a computer based ipsative psychological evaluation instrument that measures the motivational profile of adults in the organizational environment. Participants were 815 employees (418 men and 397 women) from different segments, with ages around 31 years (SD=8,8). After the analysis of the internal correlations, of the correlations between HG and the 16PF and the BBT, of the internal consistency and factor analysis, the results indicated that HG is a promising instrument to be used in the context of organizational and occupational psychology. The internal consistency values were very significative and the hypothesis referring to the convergence between HG and 16PF were confirmed at the significance level of 0,05 (BBT) and 0,01 (16PF). The HG factors could be reduced to four global factors after the seventh iteration.
