Abstract

Several abilities are necessary to the practice of the psychologist especially in the clinical context. The aim of this study was to investigate the most and the least important abilities of the students as psychotherapists according to supervisors on the basis of different theories. Participated 10 supervisors from psychotherapy theories from client-centered psychotherapy (CCP), from psychoanalysis and from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). The inventory was related to 17 abilities, and the supervisors were asked to organize them according to the importance of the ability. The CBT and the CCP supervisors emphasized eight abilities meanwhile the supervisors of the psychoanalysis emphasized 13 abilities. Psychoanalysis supervisors' group obtained more concordance. The least important ability by most of them was t "having scientific production". It was concluded that the inventory emphasized abilities which can guide the supervisors to obtain more objective assessment based on well delineated criterion.
