Considering the necessity to develop more evidences of reliability of the CAT- A the aim of this study was to verify the inter raters agreement about one of the aspects considered in the child personality assessment by this technique. The relation with the mother was the focus of this research that was analyzed considering previously established criteria. To psychologists participated in that research analyzing 31 protocols. They were clinical psychologists, with good knowledge of the psychoanalytic theory and large experience with the technique in study. They are graduated at least at 10 years, with experience in psychodiagnotics and psychotherapy. They made independent analyses they didn't know the objective of that research. The appraisers' reliability was verified comparing the punctuation of the protocols. Doing this, the two scores obtained by all the tested subjects made possible to esteem the judges' accuracy through coincidences. It was verified that the results presented by Kappa analyzes in most of the indicators of maternal relationship can be considered satisfactory. Finally, it was confirmed that the elaboration of clearly defined criteria of analyzes about the histories told to the pictures from several experienced professionals can reach similar conclusions, being avoided the excessive interference of the appraiser's subjectivity in the interpretation of the results.
