Abstract

ZAMORA, Maria Helena. The bodies of naked life: survivors or resistents?. Lat. Am. j. fundam. psychopathol. on line [online]. 2008, vol.5, n.1, pp. 104-117. ISSN 1677-0358.

The aim of this essay is to explore Michel Foucault´s concept of biopower and its many forms of fixation that colonizes the several fields of Life. We use recent essays by Agambem, Fuganti, Pelbart, Costa and others; and their reflections on the capitalistic ways of producing domination and violence. We emphasize Agambem´s concept  of  naked  life  -  natural,  non-politic life. We also consider  which forms of resistence can be produced today. We use images as a  way  to  give  new  meanings  to  what  is  perceived  in everyday life: advertizing, newspaper headlines, comics and famous photography.

Keywords : Biopower; Naked Life; Production of Subjectivity; Violence.
