Abstract

AMARAL, Anna Elisa de Vilemor; SILVA, Telma Claudina da  and  PRIMI, Ricardo. The Pfsister's Color Pyramid Test to in the identification of obsessive compulsive disorders. Aval. psicol. [online]. 2002, vol.1, n.2, pp. 133-139. ISSN 1677-0471.

The psychopathological assessment is a common professional task of psychologists and psychiatrists but there is still a lack of valid instruments to accomplish it. In this study our aim was to investigate the validity of The Pfister's Color Pyramid Test to identify Obsessive Compulsive Disorders (OCD). The sample was composed by 11 patients, selected according to the SCID criteria for OCD, and 18 non-patients, who never sought psychological or psychiatric assistance. By using logistic regression we found a significant increase in the use of brown color and in the symmetric configurations among TOC patients resulting in a sensitivity of 58.3% and a specificity of 88.9%.
