Abstract

SISTO, Fermino Fernandes; SANTOS, Acácia Aparecida Angeli dos  and  NORONHA, Ana Paula Porto. Integration criterion of Bender Test: exploring its validity evidences. Aval. psicol. [online]. 2004, vol.3, n.1, pp. 13-20. ISSN 1677-0471.

The present paper analyzed the Koppitz criteria to assess integration of Bender's figures and its evolutional characteristics. The participants were 314 school children of both genders, 7 to 10 old. Data were collected by trained graduate and undergraduate students who instructed and helped the children to perform the test. The results showed low correlations between age and number of errors. Even though the correlations and the analysis of variance were statistically significant, the Tukey test found significant differences only between two age groups. The item-total correlations showed problems of fit, because just two measures correlated significantly with the total score.

Keywords : Test of Bender; Psychometric properties; Koppitz's evaluation system.
