Abstract

This research investigates the psychometric properties of the study conditions scale for university students, aiming at the construction of valid resource for the study conditions diagnosis. The sample is composed by 336 students attending Psychology, Dentistry, Nursing, Pharmacy and Accountant courses at private universities in the south of the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. The conditions study scale had 21 items and was applied collectively. The results evidences that the students showed a good study conditions. There were also statistically significant differences in the scale performance, considering the gender and the courses. The factorial exploratory analysis showed the existence of the structure with four factors. The alpha of Cronbach from the scale and the four sub-scales indicated that the instrument show acceptable traces of internal consistency.
