The studies on the infantile drawing generally are associates to inquiry of intelligence, motricity or to use as personality projective instrument. The present article intends to investigate the different uses of the infantile drawing in the context of health, illness and hospitalization in Brazilian works and of Latin America. The adopted criteria to interpret the drawing, in general way are based on the tracing, colors, localization, constituent and age of the children submitted to the psychological evaluation. In the hospital, the drawing is associated with the evaluation of anxiety in daily pay-surgical, interventions and the inquiry of concepts of health and illness for children with chronic and acute illnesses. Out of the hospital, the drawing has been used as instrument in research on emotional difficulties or the understanding of concepts of health, illness and death of healthful and chronic sick children.
