Abstract

SILVA, Fernanda Robert de Carvalho Santos  and  YOSHIDA, Elisa Medici Pizão. Central Relationship Questionnaire 6.0 - CRQ 6.0: an exploratory study of validity with women victims of violence. Aval. psicol. [online]. 2009, vol.8, n.3, pp. 405-414. ISSN 1677-0471.

Conjugal relationship has been known as one of the most important sources of conflict, sometimes accompanied by physical and emotional violence. This study aimed to estimate the internal consistency, convergent validity and discriminant validity of the Central Relationship Questionnaire - CRQ 6.0, a self-report instrument, developed to measure the individual's relationship pattern according to three components: wishes (W), responses from others (RO) , responses of Self (RS). Participants were 32 women victims of violence (G1) and 22 women assisted in a hospital in delivering their babies (G2). They completed the CRQ 6.0 and Symptoms Assessment Scale-40 (EAS-40). Only the D component showed good internal consistency. The CRQ 6.0's components correlated with the EAS-40, but didn't discriminate G1 from G2. The EAS-40 showed good internal consistency and significantly higher scores in G1, when compared to G2. Suggestions for employing randomized and more representative samples in future researches are proposed.
