Abstract

The spatial visualization is defined as the ability to manipulate, rotate and realize objects images inversions. This is the most important cognitive ability of the spatial aptitude and it can be considered as a predictive academic achievement. Consider this, the present study aimed to evaluate the spatial ability achievement and its relationship with mathematic score. The computerized test of Spatial Visualization (TVZ2006A) had a collective administration in 255 students, which 64,71% were male ones. The age variability was from 14 to 19 years old and 92 of the students were in high school and 163 of them were in the professional education. The achievement was assessed by the final Mathematic grade. The average scores were from 0 to 19 points in the TVZ2006A and the Mathematic average was from1, 5 to 10,0. The correlation between Mathematic average and TVZ2006A score was statistically significant, which is one of the criteria validity evidence to the TVZ2006A.
