SOUZA, Marilene Proença Rebello de; BASTOS, Antônio Virgílio  and  BARBOSA, Deborah Rosária. Psychologist´s basic and professional education: analysis of students´ performance in the 2006. Aval. psicol. [online]. 2011, vol.10, n.3, pp. 295-312. ISSN 1677-0471.

We analyze the results obtained by first year and graduating students who took the 2006 ENADE Exam in Psychology. We study the outcome relating to Socio-Economic data, School history and Specific Components of psychological knowledge. It is possible to conclude that the students who took the test come mostly from the private education and show differences in performance when compared to those who attended in public. The socio-economic data are analyzed in comparison with the scores obtained in the examination in terms of specific and general knowledge. The orientation of the National Curriculum Guidelines for undergraduate courses in Psychology was compared with the scores obtained in specific aspects of the exam. Most students are female, the performances are better in public education, during the day. We point out for the need for greater investment in training relating to the contents for Investigations and Measures, historical and epistemological basics in Psychology.
