Abstract

VILLEMOR-AMARAL, Anna Elisa de et al. Validity Evidence of the Pfister test for children assessment. Aval. psicol. [online]. 2012, vol.11, n.3, pp. 423-434. ISSN 1677-0471.

The aim of this study was to verify the validity of the Pfisters Pyramids Test in children, specifically its sensibility to identify differences in cognitive and emotional development. 85 children were assessed, of 6 and 12 years old, both genders. The test was taken individually, in the school. The frequency of colors, chromatic syndrome and formal aspect were compared. The main results showed that the younger children had a significantly higher frequency of yellow and stimulation syndrome, as well as pure carpets and carpets with begin of organization. The children showed an increase in white and black in relation to young children. The 12 years have also revealed the structure of the mantle further increased. These findings demonstrate that the Pfister test is sensitive to reveal indicators of greater emotional control resulting from cognitive development, as expected theoretically, which is an evidence of validity for its use in children.
