Pfister is a projective method that aims to understand the emotional dynamics and indicators of cognitive abilities from the assessed person. The method was introduced in Brazil during the late 1950s and, more than 60 years later, another edition was published. During this period several studies were conducted and this research aimed to analyze the scientific articles related to Pfister in Brazil since its inclusion in the country. The material analyzed came from a survey in the Virtual Health Library (BVS-Psi) database. We found 32 scientific productions about Pfister method, 20 scientific articles abstracts published in research journals during the period between 1959 and 2000 and 12 full papers from 2001 to 2011. It was observed that most recent articles launched efforts seeking evidence of Pfister validity.
