REIS-YAMAUTI, Verônica Lima dos; NEME, Carmen Maria Bueno; LIMA, Mirella F. Cardia F. de  and  BELANCIERI, Maria de Fátima. Neuropsychological tests used in patients suffering from stroke. Aval. psicol. [online]. 2014, vol.13, n.2, pp. 277-285. ISSN 1677-0471.

The neuropsychologist must be updated with respect to the assessment tools most used and approved in the area. The aim of this study was to investigate the neuropsychological instruments used in people who have suffered stroke. Data collection occurred in portals theses and dissertations and through the Virtual Health Library, in LILACS, MEDLINE and SciELO, filtered studies published between 2000 and 2011. The results show 14 studies which contained 43 instruments used in evaluations of interface areas with Psychology (11); scales and inventories (9); standardized psychological tests for the Brazilian population (4), and others do not standardized (19). It is considered that there are gaps between the development of psychological science and the amount of standardized instruments for neuropsychological assessment of patients who have suffered a stroke.
