Among the instruments developed for studying resilience, the Resilience Scale for Adults (RSA) has shown a potential to explain and intervene in psychosocial work-related phenomena. Thus, this study aimed to evaluate the factorial validation of the RSA to adults who are civil servants. Therefore it focalize adults that experience the work condition in the organizational environment. A confirmatory factor analysis was performed. The results indicated that the RSA six-factor solution was confirmed with factors named: Perception of Self, Planned Future, Social Competence, Structured Style, Familiar Cohesion and Social Resources. Its validity and reliability for use among workers make it useful to support management decisions. The implications, limitations and contributions of the study are discussed, with suggestions for future research.
