Abstract

The objective of this study was to compare body dissatisfaction (IC) and inappropriate eating behaviors (CAI) in young football players according to categories for age group, ethnicity and competitive levels. The study included 271 young males. The Body Shape Questionnaire and Eating Attitudes Test were used for IC and CAI assessment, respectively. The results showed differences in IC only in level of soccer (p<.05). In relation to CAI, they were different according to sport and personal variables (p<.05). The authors conclude that IC was different according to competitive levels of play and CAI were different according to categories for age group, competitive levels and ethnicity
