Abstract

BAROUH, Raquel Trinchão de Jesus  and  PUENTE-PALACIOS, Katia. Team learning: The occurrence in meso level, and a measurement scale. Aval. psicol. [online]. 2015, vol.14, n.3, pp. 365-373. ISSN 1677-0471.

Learning is understood as an individual phenomenon, though it can be argued that it can also occur through teamwork or at the meso level. In the team setting, learning is based on the existence of sharing among members and in the presence of behaviors that promote exchanges between them. This study aims to demonstrate the pertinence of defending team-learning as team property, and from these theorizations, to offer validity evidence of a learning behavior measurement at the meso level. The empirical research included the participation of 394 respondents, organized in teams. The results of exploratory factor analysis revealed a satisfactory factor structure (loads between 0.54 and 0.75 and α=0.86). Inter-team behavior and differences between teams were also observed, supporting the theories concerning the level of the construct. The study contributes to the field by offering a tool that addresses the learning theories specific to teamwork
