BAPTISTA, Makilim Nunes  and  BORGES, Lisandra. Integrative review of depression assessment instruments in children/adolescents and adults in brazilian population. Aval. psicol. [online]. 2016, vol.15, n.spe, pp. 19-32. ISSN 1677-0471.

This study aimed to carry out an integrative literature review about depression assessment instruments in children/adolescents and adults from the databases Index Psi and Psi BVS (SciELO and PePSIC) between 2005 and 2015. Initial findings included 437 articles from which, applying selection criteria, 175 articles were selected. Among these articles, 24 instruments were found, of which 12 assessed only depression and 5 were specific to children/adolescents. The most cited instruments were the BDI, HADS, HAM-D, CDI and EBADEP-A. The predominant constructs in the studies were anxiety, quality of life, and stress; most samples were small to moderate in size, with balanced participation of men and women, students and adults. The greatest number of publications were in 2012 and 2013 and the overall average was 15 articles per year, predominantly published in the journals Qualis A1 and A2. Finally, 20% of the articles were concerned the psychometric parameters for instruments, which is a very positive highlight for the area of psychological assessment
