The process of constructing and establishing content validity evidence for a scale that assesses the quality of learning objects in the health area is presented, under the assumptions of the Classical Psychometrics. In addition to theoretical and semantic analysis by judges, items were evaluated by using the Content Validity Index (CVI) and Content Validity Ratio (RVC), which are not common in psychology studies describing the evaluation of psychological instruments. Item exclusion criterion was IVC less than or equal to .85, and RVC less than .54. Thirty-eight out of a total of 84 items were eliminated. Results support the instrument's content validity. The study offers a new tool and contributes to teaching in the health area, by adopting a contextualized and systemic approach.
