Abstract

ALVES JACOB, Claudia et al. Conversation with educators: a possible interchange. Psicol. rev. (Belo Horizonte) [online]. 2008, vol.14, n.2, pp.65-79. ISSN 1677-1168.

Based on the interface between psychoanalysis and education, this article discusses some results of ten meetings held in three schools in Rio de Janeiro. The subject, introduced in the form of an inter-disciplinary net, attempts to ponder over some parameters that guide those different practices, having as the object of investigation and change the challenge that school failure imposes on psychoanalysts and educators. The emphasis is on this issue, which manifests itself as a symptom in contemporary culture, and on new paradigms that rule political and educational actions in the State. Some testimony of the practice of ‘conversation’ is focused on to elucidate predominant discursive modes in the educators’ speech.

Keywords : Contemporaneousness; Conversation; Education; School failure; Psychoanalysis.
