The quality of health care can be analyzed according to the users’, professionals’ and institutions’ satisfaction. The aim of this study was to know the perceptions of the trainees and the caregivers of children who are users of a Psychology School-Service, regarding children treatment. Eighteen caregivers and sixteen trainees were interviewed and their statements were submitted to content analysis. Results: for the trainees, treatment is important, but insufficient for professional development; the therapeutic process is misunderstood by the users; screening variables make the process difficult; positive outcomes are indicated by the increase of a child’s spontaneity. According to the caregivers’ perceptions, treatment is important because of its gratuitousness and quality; they feel like participants and identify positive outcomes only when they are guided. The study concluded that different conceptions of health/illness among participants determine different expectations about the need and efficacy of treatment, and that the caregivers’ exclusion and screening dimensions undermine the therapeutic process
