Abstract

FRANCO, Renato Ferreira  and  VAN STRALEN, Cornelis Johannes. The living space and its importance for the production of subjectivity. Psicol. rev. (Belo Horizonte) [online]. 2012, vol.18, n.3, pp. 402-419. ISSN 1677-1168.  http://dx.doi.org/DOI-10.5752/P.1678-9563.2012v18n3p402.

This study focuses on analyzing the importance of living space for the production of subjectivity. This first concept has always been present in many scientific fields, from physics to the study of urbanism, touched on by several authors of the humanities. The possibilities of analyzes focusing on this issue are diverse, but this study is directed primarily at the understanding of the concept of space of Newton. Later, through philosophers associated with phenomenology and architecture, we seek to understand that there is absolute space physics that matters to make possible a dialogue with the theory of subjectivity. Finally, we conclude that the space understood as housing (dwelling housing and the city) is an indispensable component for the production of self-care and, consequently, the production of subjectivity.

Keywords : Space; Territory; Subjectivity.
