Abstract

FUCHS, Solange Serrano  and  ZORNIG, Silvia. The analytic listening: body, affection and word. Psicol. rev. (Belo Horizonte) [online]. 2013, vol.19, n.3, pp. 340-352. ISSN 1677-1168.  http://dx.doi.org/DOI-10.5752/P.1678-9563.2013v19n3p340.

The difficulty of many of those analyzed to get in touch with their emotional experiences seems to be a result of traumatic and fragmented early experiences which prevents them from being able to share their feelings and perceptions, resulting from traumatic and destabilizing experiences confronts the psychoanalyst with the need to find new forms of working within the clinical setting. Listening to the non-verbal communication (related to bodily sensations and feelings) one can help some patients not only to have access to the symbolization processes, but to have an experience of integrating aspects of their psychic reality that have remained dissociated. Based on the contributions of Ferenczi, Winnicott and J. McDougall, this paper intends to reflect on the transference- counter-transference aspects of the analytic relationship.
