Abstract

OLIMPIO, Eliana  and  MARCOS, Cristina Moreira. The school and present day adolescents: considerations from psychoanalysis. Psicol. rev. (Belo Horizonte) [online]. 2015, vol.21, n.3, pp. 498-512. ISSN 1677-1168.  http://dx.doi.org/DOI-10.5752/P.1678-9523.2015v21n3p498.

In recent decades, the school has been the scene of depredations, manifestation of hostile behavior between teachers and students, which leads to high rates of truancy, low academic performance, no motivation for students to study and other consequences. The adolescents are called upon to meet the many demands: the body in transformation; love and sex; academic; social demands in terms of the roles they are expected to fulfill and others. At the beginning of their formation, the teenager may appear fragile, becoming a source of concern. This article seeks, through the contributions of psychoanalysis to understand the limitations of teachers, school and society, the context in which the adolescent is inserted and the relationships it establishes with his peers and teachers with the aim of thinking strategies for education
