Abstract

The advances in science and technology have brought considerable progress to diagnosis and treatment of many diseases up to now incurable. However, medicine finds diseases that do not respond satisfactorily to proposed treatments. Sometimes, considering the singularity implicated in disease, psychoanalysis is called upon to contribute. An approach of psychosomatic phenomenon (PPS), which presents itself like a lesion on body, the absence of symbolic articulation brings difficulties for a clinical approach based on guided speech. Considering particular status of body at PPS, the specific jouissance of these cases and based on the reference to the symptom, this article discuss the specific approach in these cases and highlights implications for treatment according to clinical practice guidelines of Lacanian psychoanalysis
