This article treats discourses of motherhood for women who participate in blogs on this theme. This is a qualitative research, based on discussion of family pychosociology, in which it examined posts written by authors and their comments written by readers in two public blogs (Macetes de Mãe e Manual da Família Moderna) from the Bardin’s content analysis. As a result, it was obtained three categories and in this article we shall deal with the first: new modes of women's life. The analysis allowed us to observe various modes of living female and interpret them from authors such as Badinter, Rocha-Coutinho, Woodward among others. Although contemporaneity allows the choice of different positions, we observe that in all cases there are social charges, the expectation remains that the woman is a mother and the discourses of the myth of motherhood, which composes a scenario of distress-anguish for the woman, complicating this female experience
