Abstract

ALBUQUERQUE, Rosiane Alves de  and  LIMA, Aluísio Ferreira de. WOMEN TRAFFICKING AND HUMAN RIGHTS: ANALYSIS OF DISCOURSES CONVEYED IN THE "SALVE JORGE" SOAP OPERA. Psicol. rev. (Belo Horizonte) [online]. 2017, vol.23, n.1, pp. 81-105. ISSN 1677-1168.  http://dx.doi.org/10.5752/P.1678-9563.2017v23n1p81-105.

This paper proposes, through the profile of women trafficking, addressing the issue of Human Trafficking in Brazil, taken as object of analysis in the Salve Jorge soap opera. For the analysis of discourses conveyed in the soap opera, we mapped all 179 chapters and located scenes related to discussions on trafficking of women, transcribed the most meaningful dialogues and discuss the contents. The analysis of the transcripts elucidated the content that focused on building an identity for the trafficked woman. Which, in addition to producing a fetishist image of these women tried to present itself as a mirror of reality, eventually reducing the complexity of the issue of trafficking in women to a formula where the "happy ending" would only be a matter of time
