SOUZA, Emilene  e  KIND, Luciana. Life goes on: fictional narratives with young people living with HIV/AIDS.. Psicol. rev. (Belo Horizonte) [online]. 2017, vol.23, n.3, pp. 1051-1068. ISSN 1677-1168.  http://dx.doi.org/10.5752/P.1678-9563.2017v23n3p1051-1068.

This paper presents a study that aimed to understand the ways of narrating living with HIV/aidsinvolving young people. The idea of performativity of the self was a departing point, as a theoretical contribution from the narrative inquiry. The methodological strategy was composed of participant observation and narrative interviews with 12 seropositive youngsters between the ages of 22 and 29 years. The material was submitted to dialogic/ performance narrative analysis and was the basis for the construction of fictional narratives. This strategy consists of "shuffling" the fragments of the narratives and creating "collages", which are based on real facts, but are supposed to be read as fiction. We conclude that it is necessary to expand the circulation of information about HIV/aids among young people and that fictional narratives are presented as an alternative for the exploration of new forms of communication that include the singularities of life after diagnosis.
