Abstract

GUISSO, Luciane  and  MOTTA, Cibele Cunha Lima da. Family, school and ecological transition: an integrative review of national literature. Psicol. rev. (Belo Horizonte) [online]. 2020, vol.26, n.2, pp. 605-623. ISSN 1677-1168.  http://dx.doi.org/10.5752/P.1678-9563.2020v26n2p605-623.

This work aims at present an integrative review of national literature concerning family, school, and transition to schooling. Thus, a search for scientific articles on Scielo and Pepsic databases was performed to map the national production on the subject between the years of 2006 and 2016. Through the combination of keywords, it was possible to find 17 articles that discuss the relationship between family, school, and how small children make the transition to the school context. The analysis of the articles highlighted that the child’s entry into school tends to be experienced as a stressful moment, both by the family and the child, as it requires adaptation from everyone involved. A positive family environment, permeated by inductive educational practices and active participation in the child’s school life, allows families to experience such transitional moments in a more satisfactory way.

Keywords : Family; Ecological transitions; School-age children.
